Dmitry Pinchuk is one of the most brilliant musicians of the new generation, having won top honors at the most prestigious international competitions worldwide, repeatedly demonstrating his extraordinary artistic talent.
He began his musical studies at the age of five and has been guided by leading saxophonists:
Alexandra Petrova, Nikita Zimin, and Jean-Denis Michat, whose collective influence helped shape his musical identity.
Dmitry first came to international attention in 2017 after winning the Gold Medal at the prestigious televised Nutcracker competition in Moscow. The competition provided opportunities to perform in the country’s leading concert halls, helping to instill a love for the stage from early childhood.
His next important junior achievement was winning the AndorraSaxFest Youth competition for participants under 18 years of age. This success marked the beginning of a rapid and consistent rise on the international stage.
The year 2023 started with a victory at the international woodwind competition Classic Winds. Musicians from different countries competed through four demanding rounds. For the first prize, The first prize amounted to €40,000.
A particularly important part of Dmitry’s artistic journey has been his long-term participation in AndorraSaxFest. Competing four times, he steadily advanced from a semi-finalist in 2021 to 1st Prize winner in 2024, demonstrating continuous artistic growth and determination.
The central milestone of Dmitry Pinchuk’s artistic career is his First Prize at the 8th Adolphe Sax International Competition in Dinant, Belgium. Held once every four years in the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the instrument, the competition is regarded as one of the most historically significant and demanding events in the classical saxophone world.
Winning First Prize at such a young age, Dmitry became the youngest laureate in the history of the Adolphe Sax Competition.
This achievement became an important step in Dmitry's artistic journey and demonstrated the maturity of his musical thinking.
Since 2024, Dmitry has been a Henry Selmer Paris artist.
In 2025, he won the Aeolus International Competition in Düsseldorf, Germany, competing among more than 90 participants in the oboe, horn, and saxophone categories. Dmitry represented the saxophone in the final round and once again demonstrated his artistic level.
Today, Dmitry Pinchuk performs extensively and gives masterclasses in Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Andorra, China, and South Korea. His artistic path is defined not only by competition success, but by a constant search for the sound, depth of musical thinking, and meaning in music.
